CGB Releases Public Notice Establishing Portal for Open Internet Transparency Disclosures
Updated: Jun 6, 2018
On May 21, 2018, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (“Bureau”) released a Public Notice announcing that it established a portal for Internet service provider (“ISP”) transparency disclosures, as required by the Restoring Internet Freedom Order, effective June 11, 2018.
The Order requires ISPs to publicly disclose information about their service either by providing the disclosure on a publicly available, easily accessible website or by submitting it to the FCC for posting. ISPs choosing to submit their required disclosures to the FCC should do so using the portal available at www.fcc.gov/isp-disclosures. This portal will be available for both submitting and searching disclosures beginning May 29, 2018.
The Bureau reminds ISPs that an ISP not submitting required disclosures to the FCC will be deemed as having elected to provide it on an accessible website of its choosing.
